Well, hello there, folks! I'm glad to be able to update this journal now that I have the time to do so. Quite a bit has happened since I last submitted a journal, but I'll try and keep it condensed.

I am a senior in high school, and thus will be graduating from high school on June 12th of this year. I have been accepted to Radford University in Radford, Virginia, so I plan to start school there in the fall. The kind people at the admissions office also gave me a scholarship of $7,000 a year to go there as well, so that's a blessing. ^_^ I will be working toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Science, with a concentration in Web Development. I'm certainly looking forward to that. =]

This year in school has probably been my busiest school year ever, but that's okay. I like to learn, and the work helps solidify what I have learned. Taking four semester classes at Lord Fairfax Community College has helped me adjust to college work as well. The classes I took were Applied Calculus I and Java Programming I the first semester, and Applied Calculus II and Web Scripting Languages this current semester. As a result of the busyness, I probably won't be posting much here on DeviantArt, but I still do occasionally log on here to check for updates.

FBLA competitions have also started up again. I took a multiple choice test in the Computer Problem Solving category, and placed second in the Shenandoah Region! Those who won either first or second in the category they competed in qualify to go to the State competition in Reston, Virginia, so I plan to go there in April. I also am one out of three finalists from the Shenandoah Region competing for the state-level Crumley-Peele Scholarship, so I'll be going to Reston for that too.

Otherwise, life has just been pleasantly rolling along for me here on God's green Earth.
